Divide’s Mission Statement
The mission of Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church is to serve God by serving people through its religious, charitable, educational, and Christian fellowship activities. Accomplishing this mission is done by the following:
- Sharing the gospel of Christ through the ministries of the church
- Helping the hurting and grieving of our community, by ministering to the needs of the less fortunate
- Holding weekly services, including Sunday School and Bible Studies
- Providing opportunities for spiritual growth for both congregants and the community at large
To attain these objectives, Divide Church schedules various activities and also attempts to meet unforeseen circumstances in the spirit of Christian brotherhood and charity. Regularly scheduled events include Sunday morning and evening services, Sunday School and youth group meetings, Wednesday night Bible study classes, Women’s Missionary Society, Laymen’s Fellowship, Junior Missionary Society, Little Hooks, and an annual Vacation Bible School. All services of Divide Church are open to the general public, as are the special singings and celebration days. Special assistance, through prayers, visitations, food and monetary help, are given to those of the community as needs arise.
